Responsibilities
• Execute vulnerability remediation and patching activities aligned to management & security team priorities, across infrastructure, middleware, and applications.
• Analysing various datasets, asset databases, and resources to ensure successful environment posture towards patching and vulnerability remediation.
• Maintaining and monitoring automated patch and vulnerability remediation tools; organizing and executing manual patch and vulnerability remediations in coordination with best practices,
IT and business owners.
• Reporting on weekly/monthly/annual scope posture including exception groups.
• Work with other internal IT teams to maintain asset lifecycle objectives (onboarding/offboarding) and 3rd party updates.
• Proactively update asset inventory and monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, PRTG, or equivalent.
• Validate enterprise backup, recovery solutions, business continuity and overall asset health to maintain successful patching and vulnerability remediation goals.
• Work with IT and business owners to address any issues as it relates to patching and vulnerability management.
• Maintain system documentation, operational procedures, and asset inventory.
• Collaborate with network, security, cloud, and application teams to support enterprise infrastructure.
• Participate in on-call support and respond to production incidents as required
Education / Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• OS: Windows Server 2016/2019/2022, Linux (RHEL/Ubuntu/CentOS)
• Patching: OS Upgrades, Patching & Vulnerability Remediation
• Networking: TCP/IP, VLAN, Routing & Firewalls
• Automation: PowerShell
• Security: Security Best Practices & Compliance
• Tools: ServiceNow, PRTG, Tenable, PDQ
• Cloud & AD: Azure, AWS, Active Directory
• ITIL: Incident & Change Management
• Certifications including but not limited to Sec+, CySA+, GISF, GSEC
• 3-5 years of experience in patch and vulnerability remediation
• Relevant certifications are preferred:
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, Windows Server
o ITIL Foundation
