• Develop a deep understanding of the Asset Health product, architecture, codebase, customer workflows, technical constraints, and operational environment.
• Lead technical discussions and make sound engineering decisions across architecture, design, implementation, quality, and maintainability.
• Participate directly in architecture and design activities, technical investigations, troubleshooting, and proof-of-concept work.
• Review code and technical designs and provide constructive technical guidance to engineers and technical contributors.
• Identify technical risks, architectural weaknesses, technical debt, and opportunities for improvement, and drive them toward resolution.
• Balance short-term delivery needs with the long-term technical health and evolution of Asset Health.
• Proactively identify customer and engineering problems and work with Product, Support, and Engineering stakeholders to develop practical solutions.
• Help shape the technical evolution of Asset Health as the product moves toward more modern web-based experiences and architectures.
• Explore opportunities to apply machine learning, AI, and emerging technologies where they can provide meaningful customer or product value.
Engineering Delivery and Quality
• Establish clear engineering practices that enable predictable delivery without compromising technical quality.
• Work closely with the DRI, Engineering Coordinator, Product Management, QA, and technical contributors to maintain delivery momentum and remove technical blockers.
• Ensure appropriate engineering processes, development practices, testing, code quality, documentation, and operational readiness are maintained.
• Support effective estimation and technical planning by bringing a strong understanding of the product and engineering complexity.
• Act as a first engineering point of contact for triaging customer-reported technical issues and determining appropriate investigation and resolution paths.
• Ensure defects and production issues are investigated with appropriate technical depth and that recurring problems are addressed systematically.
• Promote engineering practices that improve reliability, maintainability, observability, and supportability.
Education / Qualifications
• B.Tech, B.E., or equivalent degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electronics, or a related technical field.
• 10+ years of professional software engineering experience, including significant experience in technical leadership and people management.
• Strong hands-on software engineering background with experience reviewing code, designing systems, and making architectural decisions.
