Responsibilities

Functional Testing
•    Analyze business requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria, and ensure test coverage and traceability against requirements.
•    Prepare and execute test scenarios, test cases, and test data.
•    Perform End-to-End, Functional, Regression, Integration, Smoke, and Sanity testing.
•    Identify, log, track, and verify defects using defect management tools.
•    Use AI-assisted tools to help generate, review, and optimize test cases and test data from requirements and user stories.
•    Collaborate with the QA Lead, Product Managers, and Developers to ensure quality deliverables.
•    Participate in Sprint Planning, Story Grooming, and Retrospective meetings in Agile environments.

Automation Testing
•    Design, develop, and maintain automation test scripts for web and mobile applications.
•    Implement and enhance test automation frameworks using Selenium and Appium.
•    Execute automated test suites, analyze results, and generate execution reports and dashboards.
•    Integrate automation suites with CI/CD pipelines.
•    Maintain reusable test components and automation best practices, and optimize scripts for reliability, scalability, and maintainability.
•    Leverage AI-assisted coding tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot or equivalent) to accelerate script development, refactoring, and maintenance.

Quality Assurance Activities
•    Estimate testing efforts and provide testing timelines.
•    Review requirements and provide quality-related recommendations.
•    Participate in root cause analysis for production issues, applying AI-assisted analysis to support defect triage and log analysis.
•    Support staging and production verification activities.
•    Ensure adherence to QA standards, processes, and best practices, including responsible and secure use of AI tools.

Education / Qualifications

•    Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

Experience
•    5–6 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance, with proven experience in both Manual and Automation Testing.
•    Experience testing Web, Windows, and API-based applications, with mandatory hands-on experience testing iOS and macOS applications.

Functional Testing
•    Strong knowledge of SDLC and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
•    Experience in Test Planning, Test Case Design, Defect Management, and Regression Testing.
•    Hands-on experience with Jira, Xray, TestRail, or similar test management tools.

Automation Testing
•    Strong hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver, Appium mobile automation, and Data-Driven / Keyword-Driven frameworks.
•    Mandatory hands-on knowledge and experience testing and automating on iOS and macOS platforms, including Appium-based automation for iOS and macOS.
•    Experience integrating automation with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, etc.

AI Tools in Testing (Required)
•    Hands-on experience using at least one AI-assisted development or testing tool in day-to-day work, such as GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT/Claude, or a comparable assistant.
•    Ability to use AI tools to generate and refine test cases, test data, and automation scripts, and to review AI-generated output critically before use.
•    Understanding of the limitations, risks, and responsible-use practices of AI tools in a QA context (accuracy, data privacy, and validation of outputs).

Programming, API & Database
•    Basic to intermediate programming skills in Python (preferred)/Java.
•    Experience with API testing tools such as Postman or Rest Assured, and good knowledge of REST APIs and API validation.
•    Basic SQL knowledge for database validation and data verification.

Preferred Skills
•    Experience with Appium for iOS/Windows automation frameworks.
•    Experience with CI/CD Devops tools.
•    Exposure to cloud testing platforms such as BrowserStack or Sauce Labs.
•    Knowledge of Git/GitHub version control and experience working in Agile Scrum teams.
•    Knowledge of performance or security testing is an added advantage.
•    Experience with AI-powered or AI-augmented test automation platforms (e.g., self-healing locators, visual/AI-based test generation such as Testim, Mabl, Applitools, or similar).
•    Experience writing effective prompts to drive test-case generation, data creation, and code assistance.
•    Awareness of emerging practices in AI-driven quality engineering and a willingness to adopt new AI tools as they mature.

Soft Skills
•    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
•    Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
•    Ability to work independently and within cross-functional teams, handling multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Nice-to-Have (Aura Team Environment)
•    Experience with patient-facing, healthcare, wellness, or consumer-facing applications.
•    Experience with hands on iOS, MACOS Automation
•    Experience applying AI tools within a regulated or healthcare context with appropriate data-privacy safeguards.
